The recent incident where a preschool teacher was seen meting out corporal punishments was a hit topic. Views were savage. Condemning the teacher like there was no tomorrow. All because, her behaviour and treatment towards children had been flagged and nothing was done about it.
Netizens starts questioning: Why no CCTV? Where got teacher liddat? Why principal never do anything? Be principal for what? That teacher cannot be the only one at fault. The principal also!
Eh wait. You assumed, having CCTV will solve the issue of mistreatment?
You assumed people will behave better with the CCTV installed?
Have it ever crossed their minds, CCTV or not, bad intentions knows no boundary. It will probably breed slicker and sly offenders, who took advantage of blind spots and the non-audio recording. Creating a whole lot of fake personnel who may very well be a very good thespian! Psychologically and emotionally manipulating teachers will not be a thing of make-believe.
CCTV won't solve everything so easily hor. Its a multi-level issue that will take years to kink out. Even so, its not THE go-to solution. Probably a multi-prong approach, too. People need to come down and be teacher for a month, then we can talk.
