Professional Goals
This section outlines my professional goals as an early childhood educator and leader. These goals reflect my ongoing efforts to strengthen both my own practice and my ability to support others within the team. They are informed by my experiences, reflections, and leadership learning throughout the programme.

Goal 1: Professional Growth (Self)
To strengthen my instructional leadership by developing more structured and consistent approaches in guiding teachers’ classroom practices.
Rationale
Through my experiences, I have realised that while I am able to support teachers informally, there is value in developing more structured approaches to observation, feedback, and follow-up. This will allow me to provide clearer guidance and ensure consistency across teaching practices.
Actions Taken
-
Conducting classroom observations and reflecting on teaching practices
-
Providing feedback to teachers based on observed classroom needs
-
Applying learning from leadership modules to improve instructional support
Reflection & Next Steps
Moving forward, I aim to strengthen my use of structured tools and frameworks when supporting teachers, so that feedback becomes more consistent, trackable, and purposeful. This will enhance both teacher development and overall programme quality.
Goal 2: Supporting Others (Team / Teacher-Leaders)
To support teacher-leaders in developing confidence and capability in managing both classroom responsibilities and team coordination.
Rationale
Teacher-leaders often take on additional responsibilities while continuing to teach. Without sufficient support, this can become overwhelming. I recognise the importance of creating systems and practices that help teacher-leaders manage their roles effectively.
Actions Taken
-
Supporting team coordination through clear scheduling and operational planning
-
Facilitating discussions and encouraging shared responsibility among educators
-
Providing guidance and support during daily operations
Reflection & Next Steps
Moving forward, I aim to further support teacher-leaders by strengthening communication structures, encouraging reflective dialogue, and providing clearer guidance in their leadership roles. This will help build stronger, more confident teams within the centre.
